Die Entstehung des Bastelbogens »Gran Canaria«
Die Deutsche Hydrographische Gesellschaft (DHyG) hat anlässlich der HYDRO 2024 in Warnemünde ein Giveaway erstellen lassen, das auch die Nachwuchsgewinnung unterstützen soll: Einen farbigen Bastelbogen aus Papier für ein dreidimensionales Modell der Über- und Unterwasserlandschaft der Insel Gran Canaria im Maßstab 1 : 500 000. Aspekte aus Geologie, hydrographischer Messtechnik, Topografie, Kartografie und Nautik werden damit anschaulich dargestellt. Das Basteln und das anschließende Betrachten des fertigen Modells regen zu einer Entdeckungsreise zu diesen Themen an und wecken hoffentlich das Interesse an der vielfältigen Arbeitswelt der Hydrographie. Der Artikel stellt die Entstehung des Bastelbogens von der ersten Idee bis zum gedruckten Ergebnis dar.

The German Hydrographic Society (DHyG) has organised the creation of a giveaway on the occasion of HYDRO 2024 in Warnemünde, which is also intended to support the recruitment of young talents: A coloured paper craft sheet for a three-dimensional model of the landscape of the island of Gran Canaria above and below the water surface at a scale of 1 : 500,000. The model vividly presents aspects of geology, hydrographic measurement technology, topography, cartography and navigation. The crafting and the subsequent viewing of the finished model invites to a journey of discovery on these topics and hopefully awakens interest in the manifold professional hydrographic work. The article describes the development of the craft sheet from the first idea to the printed result.
