Bereits zum vierten Mal konnte der World ECDIS Day am 6. Oktober 2021 in Hamburg Maßstäbe setzen. ECDIS – Electronic Chart Display and Information System – ist das elektronische Navigationssystem, das in der Schifffahrt erheblich zur Sicherheit, Reduzierung der Umweltbelastung und zur effizienten Routenplanung beiträgt. Und vor allem ist ECDIS eine Hamburger Erfindung, die 1999 erstmals vom BSH zugelassen wurde und die Seeschifffahrt revolutionierte.

For the fourth time, the World ECDIS Day was able to set standards in Hamburg on 6 October 2021. ECDIS – Electronic Chart Display and Information System – is the electronic navigation system that contributes significantly to safety, reduction of environmental pollution and efficient route planning in shipping. And above all, ECDIS is a Hamburg invention that was first approved by the BSH in 1999 and revolutionised maritime shipping.
