Michael Ströh ist Geschäftsführer der Hafentechnischen Gesellschaft e. V. (HTG). Als Organisation von Experten aus Hafenverwaltungen, Hafen- und Logistikbetrieben, Wasserstraßen und Schifffahrtsverwaltung, Bauwirtschaft, Consulting, Forschung, Wissenschaft und Zulieferindustrie bündelt die HTG seit über hundert Jahren die technisch-wissenschaftliche Expertise im Hafenbau, im Verkehrswasserbau und im Küsteningenieurwesen. Im Interview äußert sich Michael Ströh über die Folgen des Klimawandels für die Häfen, über die Grenzen des Wachstums großer Containerschiffe und über sein Verständnis von Nachhaltigkeit. Michael Ströh is Managing Director of the Hafentechnische Gesellschaft e. V. (HTG). As an organisation of experts from port administrations, port and logistics operations, waterways and shipping administration, the construction industry, consulting, research, science and the supply industry, HTG has been pooling technical and scientific expertise in port construction, transport hydraulic engineering and coastal engineering for over a hundred years. In this interview, Michael Ströh talks about the consequences of climate change for ports, the limits to the growth of large container ships and his understanding of sustainability.
